Planning a trip overseas?

It’s never too late to book a travel medicine appointment however it is best to book at least 6-8 weeks before you are due to depart as some vaccines may need a specific time frame between each one prior to when you leave for your trip.

Vaccinations required for each country can vary, so, for a comprehensive consultation please book a 30 minute Travel vaccine appointment with your GP either online through HotDoc App or by calling 33692444 and one of our friendly staff will arrange a time.   It would be preferred Family appointments are booked through our staff to ensure an appropriate amount of time is allocated to each person.

If you require a Yellow Fever vaccination, please ring 33692444 so our staff can confirm your GP is accredited to prescribe it.

Dr Sharnti Caulley’s specialty is in Travel Medicine and she is Yellow Fever Accredited.  Sharnti works Monday, Wednesday and Friday and requires 30 minutes for each person.

It is important to advise your appointment is for Travel Medicine and to list all the countries you are planning to go to.

Fees apply for all consultations and any vaccines required for traveling.  Vaccines are available and can be given by one of our Nurses following your GP appointment.

IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE

Due to COVID-19 it is IMPORTANT to book a Phone (Telehealth) appointment if you fit any of the criteria listed below:

Respiratory symptoms such as: loss of smell and/or taste, cough, sore throat, runny nose, temperature (fever), shortness of breath, vomiting or nausea, diarrhoea, fatigue, joint or muscle aches and pains, loss of appetite , and/or recently travelled from a declared COVID-19 Hot Spot, (Qld Hotspot and Border restrictions) and/or been a close contact with a person who has tested positive to COVID-19?

Effective 1st of October 2020, the Government made changes to Telehealth. Fees apply for all Face to Face and Telehealth consultations

To receive a Medicare rebate for a Telehealth appointment, the patient must have had a face to face consultation at the Practice in the last 12 months. If not, the out of pocket cost will be the whole consultation fee.

New Patients cannot book an appointment online. Please download new patient forms under the Booking tab, complete and email to reception@redhilldoctors.com.au then ring 33692444 to make an appt. All other Face to Face appointments can be made either online through Appointuit or ring 33692444 and our Reception staff will endeavor to arrange an appointment time with your Doctor that suits you.
